Let It Go

Every day we make mistakes—mistakes in business, mistakes in relationships, and mistakes in life.

Some people overthink their mistakes. Sometimes overthinking our mistakes can keep us from trying to live our best life today because of mistakes from yesterday.

Let it go. Move on. See yesterday’s mistakes as great learning opportunities, and see today as a fresh start to apply our ongoing learning. The best we can expect of ourselves is to be constantly learning and improving.

I once heard a saying that I use to remind myself and others to let the past go: “He who drives looking in the rearview mirror has many accidents.”

Here’s a great formula for success:

  1. Live your business and life to the fullest
  2. Make mistakes
  3. Learn from your mistakes
  4. Let it go
  5. Repeat 1–4.

Let it go. Let yourself grow.
